CRISP will collaborate with the state on Rural Development and Education initiatives. Together, we will work towards uplifting rural communities and providing access to quality education for all. Role of CRISP

CRISP will assist Govt of Meghalaya in improving education sector through:

  2. Deepening the impact of Rural Development interventions – Project RD3.0

MoU with Meghalaya

Action Plan

1. Education Sector :- School Need to be reorganized, As per CRISP recommendation on Rationalization of Schools district wise mapping of schools by distant has been started. Criteria and Guidelines will be framed and submitted as they wanted to route this through the State Education Commission, Education Minister wanted CRISP to conduct an extensive project for collection of robust data relating to Schools. Discussion underway between the two party, Proposednote on “District Cadre” has been submitted and discussion underway. Comments from State Education Commission awaited, A meeting with Social Welfare Department and ECD Mission has been held on the 31st August for discussion on Quality ECCE, Integrating ECCE with FLN and for ensuring that all students entering grade 1 are school ready.

2. Rural Development :- Institutional Building of SHG network, Development Commissioner already flag off formation of 5000 more SHGs in the State ,Discussion underway for identification of CRPs to reach out and train for SHG peer group support in order to strengthening SHGs, Exposure Visit to Stree Nidhi, Telangana with MSRLS Team to conduct an indepth study, Proposal Draft for setting up an APEX Specialized Women Financial Institutions has been presented before the Development Commissioner and other Departmental Officaials.
