Prakash Palanivel, a native of Namakkal district in Tamil Nadu, is a dedicated development professional with a strong academic foundation. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics from the Central University of Tamil Nadu. His deep-rooted passion for societal development led him to pursue the Gandhi Fellowship, where he gained invaluable experience in rural development.
During his tenure as a Gandhi Fellow in Madhya Pradesh, Prakash actively supported the Rural Development Department in promoting community engagement. He played a crucial role in involving Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the Village Water Sanitation Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission across Sehore district. His collaborative efforts extended to the Panchayat Raj Institution, where he facilitated the creation of comprehensive Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs) that addressed a wide range of community needs. His academic background, combined with his hands-on experience in the NGO sector and government stakeholder management, has equipped him with a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
