Born and raised in Guwahati, Assam, her career spans across various roles and responsibilities across diverse sectors. After completing Bachelors in Sociology from Delhi University she decided to move to the development sector therefore she pursued her masters in Development Studies from IIT Guwahati. She has previously worked as a Zonal Coordinator for the United Nations Development Programme where she has honed her skills in fieldwork, report making, and team management.
Further, she has also worked with Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission. She believe she is a natural storyteller so she decided to work as an anchor and copywriter for Brahmaputra Tele Production Pvt. Ltd. and Headline 8. She has also worked as a coding instructor with MoveForward (100) as her passion for education and empowerment allowed her to take it further. In the academic arena, she has pursued courses on journalism, feminism, social justice, and language, reflecting a relentless pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Lately, she has been researching how memes reflect our society, how it blends a bit of humour with insight. Her broader research interests are gender, cultural studies and public policy.
