Study of the scheme details:

  • Meeting the core implementation team either through a physical/virtual meeting to crystallise the requirements of the study,

  • Study of the objectives, strategy, the physical and financial progress, implementation system, processes, and the outcome expected of the scheme/policy

  • Study of implementation of similar schemes in other places to enable cross-learning

Finalising the research methodology

  • Sampling techniques – size and selection methods

  • Preparing field survey formats to reflect the objectives of the study

  • Administering the survey and listing out persons for in-depth interviews

Data structure and IT system

  • Defining the data about the scheme and calling the required data fields from the indenting entity. This data will be analysed for adequacy and consistency.

  • Designing IT tools including mobile apps that capture data from the field.

  • Analysing the data captured from the field for robustness, completeness, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Comparing data with the secondary data for validation.

Field work and verification of the status on the field

  • All members of CRISP visit the field and interact with stakeholders. CRISP members stay in the field to gain an in-depth understanding of the field and find ways to improve the same.

  • Surveys will be administered by field level researchers under the guidance of the CRISP team, ensuring unbiased surveys.

  • Insights are taken from stakeholder interactions which leads to better implementation systems.

Report writing

  • The entire team of CRISP will examine the evidence and discuss the scope for improvement

  • These suggestions will be further field-tested on a random basis to ensure that they are practical and can be implemented

  • The results will be shared with the indenting entity in exit meeting to get feedback

  • The report will be finalised and presented

  • The report will be published in reputed academic journals and other places for wider dissemination.
